High school sophomores throughout the district toured the respective campuses during January in preparation for enrollment for the 2023-2034 school year. Students had the opportunity to find out information about the Northwest Technology Center programs offered and experience some hands-on activities to see if programs fit their career and educational goals. In the morning, students were introduced to each program briefly and then selected two programs to experience for longer sessions in the afternoon.

Senator Roland Pederson was a special guest and enjoyed experiencing the programs offered at the NWTC-Alva campus right along with high school sophomores from Alva, Waynoka, Freedom, Cherokee and Burlington. Pederson represents the 19th Senate District and has been a member of the Oklahoma State Senate since 2016.
